And so begins NaNo. I'm ahead of my daily quota by 1 word so far. Woohoo! Anyways, I shall post my literary nonsense here for your own enjoyment. Please, tell all your friends. Especially the ones who love/hate Eragon. :D
(Also, I apologize in advance as these will tend to be a bit wordy. It is NaNo, after all. I have 50,000 word to make up, people.)
Prologue: The Introduction to the Introduction
The tall Awn lifted his bald head and sniffed the air. He wrinkled his pale nose in disgust and held his sleeve over his face. Blasted Irkels, he thought to himself as he attempted to breathe. The whole lot of them smelled like a bunch of rats. No, they smelled like rats that hadn’t taken a shower in a while. Not that rats took showers, of course. Would it kill them to take a bath once in a while? Geez. They invented soap for a reason. He smelled the air again, trying to see if anything besides the Irkels’ stink seemed out of the ordinary.
A branch cracked loudly behind him. The Awn whipped around, the top of his head shining in the moonlight that streamed through the trees. "Who was that?" he snapped loudly.
One of the Irkels raised a sheepish hand. "My bad."
"Shhhh! An ambush is pointless if the enemy knows where you are."
( Ambush? I thought it was a sneak attack. )

| The Grand Introduction |

Hello, all. I'm Dusty, and this here is my Livejournal page. You might be confused a bit by the title of this journal - "Goat Flyers? What the heck are THOSE?" Being the gracious journal host that I am, I'm going to tell you.
A while back, I found this Twilight parody at ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) xlormp 's journal. And whether you are a Twilight fan or if you can't stand it, this parody is hilarious. (Shameless props right there.) I suddenly had an idea - I should write a parody about the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. And better yet, I'll do it during NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month in November. And since this is going to be a lot of fun, I figured I'd post it here and share it with all of you.
Simeon: Legend of the Goat Flyers is coming soon. Starting November 2nd, I'm assuming - I'll spend Nov. 1st writing the thing. I'll post the chapters as soon as I can get them up. And depending on how well it does, maybe I'll write a parody of Eldest, Brisingr and Book 4 too. Sound like a plan?
So keep watching this space - and if you have any brilliant ideas, please post them here. I am open to any and all ideas, stupid or no. (Stupid ones usually work better, too.)
